We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Support Lead to oversee and manage the critical operational and HR-related functions of our team. This role serves as the primary liaison between our department and corporate HR, ensuring seamless coordination across various aspects of staff management, wellbeing, and performance. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational and leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong commitment to employee engagement and welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Wellbeing:

o   Ensure the welfare of all assigned employees, addressing issues related to accommodation, transportation, and working conditions.

o   Proactively identify and resolve employee concerns, ensuring alignment with company policies and promoting a positive work environment.

  • Roster & Schedule Management:

o   Develop and manage employee work schedules and ensure timely follow-ups with relevant department heads.

o   Coordinate vacation calendars and coverage plans in collaboration with section leaders to maintain operational continuity.

  • Performance Management & Training:

o   Ensure employees have a clear understanding of their roles and objectives, supported by a structured performance management system.

o   Collaborate with corporate HR to spearhead training and development initiatives for team skill enhancement and career growth.

  • HR Administration & Recruitment:

o   Manage recruitment requests in line with approved manpower budgets and coordinate with the HR directorate for necessary approvals.

o   Maintain detailed reports on manpower budgets, recruitment activities, turnover rates, and other operational metrics.

  • Operational Support:

o   Assist the department head with operational needs and special projects as assigned.

o   Support the management of employee accommodations, both on and off-site, to ensure compliance with company standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in operations or HR management.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and manage projects efficiently.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.

  • Experience in performance management, leave management, and employee welfare programs.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and foster an inclusive environment.
