Essential Requirements: Previous extensive Household/Estate and Staff Management experience. Calm and collected manner, highly discreet and well organised. Ideally Nines House Management Software experience of willing to train in this. Flexibility to travel and take care of Principals’ needs.

An experienced House Manager/Butler is required for a private family based in the Cayman Islands. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the residences, overseeing staff to guarantee responsibilities are met, and delivering top-tier service to the principals. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance and repairs, managing assigned tasks, and cultivating relationships with local vendors and working closely with the Family Office.

Key Responsibilities:

•⁠ ⁠Overseeing the maintenance and administration of the household, managing inventory, and coordinating with contractors

•⁠ ⁠Staff Management: Responsible for hiring, training, motivating, creating staff duties and schedules, as well as conducting performance reviews and monitoring

•⁠ ⁠Communication and Reporting: Keeping the principals informed about household and staff issues, updates, and progress

•⁠ ⁠Cost and Time Management: Focusing on budget adherence and maximizing efficiency

•⁠ ⁠Family Schedule Management: Coordinating the family's schedule, including travel arrangements and driving as needed, whether in the Cayman Islands or abroad

•⁠ ⁠Entertainment Management: Planning, preparing, serving, and providing care for the principals and guests during events

•⁠ ⁠Overseeing the care and wellbeing of all family pets.

•⁠ ⁠Assisting with Household Projects: Helping with various house-related projects as needed

•⁠ ⁠Disaster Management: Preparing and getting the property secure in case of or expected bad weather

•⁠ ⁠Maintain effective communication with principals and staff, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned

•⁠ ⁠System Checking: Ensuring all systems are checked before principals arrive or return

•⁠ ⁠Performing any other task and responsibilities as requested by management

Candidate Requirements:

•⁠ ⁠Maintain integrity, confidentiality and professionalism at all times

•⁠ ⁠To action any maintenance issues immediately and escalate to the nominated vendor and report update and corrective actions to Principals/Senior Management

•⁠ ⁠Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and security policies and procedures to ensure that a safe, secure and environmentally operation for the principals, guests, employees and stakeholders

•⁠ ⁠Discretion on all information relating to the principals

•⁠ ⁠Guide and ensure the development and implementation of appropriate policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures

•⁠ ⁠Motivate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement

•⁠ ⁠Lead and manage the effective achievement department objectives by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating the team to maximize performance

Candidate Knowledge/Skills:

•⁠ ⁠Proven track record of delivering exceptionally focused customer solutions

•⁠ ⁠Has excellent food and beverage service knowledge

•⁠ ⁠Understands how the different back of house systems work within the residence and basic troubleshooting

•⁠ ⁠Excellent knowledge of housekeeping

•⁠ ⁠Proficiency in English (must) and any additional language is desirable

•⁠ ⁠Six years of experience managing estates and residence for UHNWI

•⁠ ⁠Previous experience working within the Caribbean is desirable

•⁠ ⁠Knowledge of Nines House Management Software is a bonus.

Candidate Qualifications:

•⁠ ⁠Candidates should be looking for a long term role and therefore have a background of working in remote locations, including islands and the challenges which come with this in all aspects.

•⁠ ⁠The typical workweek consists of six days, flexibility is essential.

•⁠ ⁠It is imperative that candidates are able to travel to the USA

•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with formal Japanese or Chinese service delivery and etiquette is desired.

This is a live-in position, 6-day work week, availability to travel, start date ASAP. Top negotiable salary negotiable depending on experience. (HU4255)
