BUTLER SERVICE MANAGER

Essential Requirements: Previous 5* hotel Butler experience, excellent leadership and communication skills, immaculately presented, Tourism & Hotel Management degree preferred
An experienced Butler Service Manager is required to oversee and direct the day-to-day operations of the Butler department for a luxury Hotel based in Jeddah. You will be required to assist in the forward planning of the department and to achieve the highest possible guest satisfaction to current and future VIP clients.
Duties include:
· Manage and supervise all tasks of his/her staff.
· Monitor butlers to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service
· Liaise with other departments regarding Butler’s operations, including Front Office, to ensure VIP status and other such information, Housekeeping, to ensure all guests receive consistent service from all staff, in addition to communicating with Engineering, Laundry, Sales, Food & Beverage, Reservations etc.
· Perform routine inspections of all butler areas and guest rooms on a regular basis ensuring guest preferences are taken care of and ensure that consumption of guest supplies is under control
· Assist in monitoring and controlling relevant procedures including lost and found, key control, security and emergency procedures, health and safety for employees and guests
· Perform special projects assigned
· Ensure that Butlers deliver the special touch by exceeding the guest’s expectations and providing proactive personalized service
· Excellent knowledge about LQA and Forbes standard
· Ensure that repeat guests are met and greeted on a daily basis and profiles are updated
· Ensure all communication is carried out clearly between the team and the Director of Rooms
· Conduct regular training to ensure all training is understood by the team
· Assist the Director of Rooms in planning for future staffing needs including recruiting, training and induction programmes.
· Maintain department SOPs and oversee their implementation
· Conduct probation and formal performance appraisals
· Prepare an efficient roster of Butler staff in line with labor codes
· Preparation of the departmental annual budget including monitoring departmental costs and assist with the preparation of the hotels strategic plan, goals program, and Rooms division Budget
· Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
· Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements

Candidates must be flexible to meet the challenges of a changing work environment with excellent knowledge of Butler Service Operations. Knowledge of Opera Property Management System preferred.
