Lovely long-term vacancy for a country-loving, self-starter to join this informal family of 6. The property is a 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom, country house set in its own gardens and land.
There are 2 children 16yrs and 11yrs who are at boarding school but visit at weekends, 3 older children who visit from time to time but do not live at the property and 2 dogs and 1 cat. There are also chickens, goats, a sheep and 2 pigs which you may be asked to feed and care for from time to time.
The property is a part residence second home, used at weekends and during holidays, so flexibility is key. An estate manager and PA couple also live on site.
Primary duties are the day-to-day housekeeping, which includes cleaning, washing and ironing, household provisioning and local shopping, running errands, supervising contractors etc. You will be required to prepare fresh, simple family style dishes utilising the fresh vegetables grown in the kitchen garden.
Accommodation provided – Newly renovated 1 bedroom cottage within the courtyard.
Salary £40,000 Gross per annum depending on experience.
8 hours per day – 5 days of the week – 2 days off (Tues & Weds). Weekend working will be required.
