ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience working as a senior/head pastry chef, ability to lead and manage a team of pastry chefs, bakers, cake artists, etc, strong communication and organisational skills.

We are seeking a skilled and highly experienced pastry chef to lead and manage a team including pastry chefs, bakers, cake artists and ancillary staff (stewards, etc.)

Exceptional skills as pastry chef with excellent knowledge of chocolate work, with experience of managing a small team producing outstanding pastries and baked goods essential.

Duties will include:

  • Effective management of a brigade of approximately 10 people and ensuring a calm but creative atmosphere and creating a truly collaborative work ethic.

  • Preparing and supervising preparation of cakes, pastries, croissants and other baked goods along with desserts.

  • Development and creation of new items within the capabilities of the existing staff.

  • Providing suitable training for staff as necessary.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local suppliers in order to maximise productivity, whilst controlling kitchen costs appropriately.

  • Ensuring adherence to the very highest standards of hygiene and food safety at all times.

Full time position, working 6 days per week. Salary negotiable based on experience, circa £5,000- £7,000. Accommodation, car and medical insurance included. Immediate start. (HU4179)
