ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience working as a senior/head pastry chef, ability to lead and manage a team of pastry chefs, bakers, cake artists, etc, strong communication and organisational skills.
We are seeking a skilled and highly experienced pastry chef to lead and manage a team including pastry chefs, bakers, cake artists and ancillary staff (stewards, etc.)
Exceptional skills as pastry chef with excellent knowledge of chocolate work, with experience of managing a small team producing outstanding pastries and baked goods essential.
Duties will include:
Effective management of a brigade of approximately 10 people and ensuring a calm but creative atmosphere and creating a truly collaborative work ethic.
Preparing and supervising preparation of cakes, pastries, croissants and other baked goods along with desserts.
Development and creation of new items within the capabilities of the existing staff.
Providing suitable training for staff as necessary.
Developing and maintaining relationships with local suppliers in order to maximise productivity, whilst controlling kitchen costs appropriately.
Ensuring adherence to the very highest standards of hygiene and food safety at all times.
Full time position, working 6 days per week. Salary negotiable based on experience, circa £5,000- £7,000. Accommodation, car and medical insurance included. Immediate start. (HU4179)
