Essential Requirements: Previous Experience working as a sole housekeeper in a large family home. Ability to manage the household. Good communication skills. Great attention to detail, experience with fine Art, fine fabrics and Antiques. Household and personal Laundry and wardrobe management. Team Player with a happy, friendly disposition. Child and dog friendly. Strictly Non Smoker.

Long term position for an experienced family sole housekeeper. This is a family of four which includes 2 school age children (the eldest will board from Sept), a full time nanny is employed and a PA works from the house.

Both principals work full time so look for a housekeeper who really understands how a home should run. You will be responsible for cleaning, washing and ironing, making and changing beds -wardrobe management and arranging dry cleaning and errands.

Basic food preparation and assistance with light cooking would be greatly appreciated but not essential.

This is a large home, with many stairs, so essential that you are fit and energetic, with previous long-term references and experience. It is essential that you have previous experience working in a private family home and have experience of special finishes, cleaning and caring for silver, antiques and fine fabrics.

The average working day will be 9-5 pm but with a degree of flexibility to cover 1-2 evenings per month if the family have guests. Flexibility, a happy disposition, good team player and being part of the family for the long term is essential.

Most important is a happy, flexible, energetic person, who takes pride in their work, with a good level of English looking for a long term position. Simple uniform will be required.

SALARY NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE – 2 days off per week. Driver not required. Non smoker essential (HU3878)
